Vävt hjul/Woven wheel
Vävda hjul kallas ibland för rosor. De är väldigt enkla att göra men blir väldigt effektfulla och tredimensionella. Beroende på hur mycket du spänner tråden så blir blommorna olika.
Woven wheels are sometimes called roses. They’re easy to make but are very impactful and three dimensional. Depending on how much you tension the thread, the flowers will look different.
Stjälksöm/Stem stitch
Stjälksöm används ofta till konturer men kan också användas för att fylla ytor. Sömmen kan göras tätare eller glesare.
Stem stitch is often used for contours but can also be used to fill areas. The stitch can be made denser or sparser.
Plattsöm/Satin stitch
Plattsöm används ofta för att fylla ytor. Jag lägger stygnen i olika riktningar för att skapa linjer i till exempel löv.
Satin stitch is often used to fill areas. I place the stitches in different directions to create lines in for example leaves.
Franska knutar/French knots
Franska knutar är ett roligt stygn som jag upplever beter sig oberäkneligt oavsett hur många jag gör. Tricket är att komma ihåg att hålla nålen på rätt håll när du snurrar garnet runt den. Ju fler varv du gör, desto tjockare knut.
French knots are a fun stitch that I find behaves incalculable no matter how many I make. The trick is to remember to keep the needle in the right direction as you wrap the thread around it. The more wraps you make, the thicker the knot.
